Three disc golfers with coding skills in 2016 got the idea to make the best disc golf app not just for the pros but for all disc golfers. Objective is to support the sport for everyone as a fun way to spend time outdoors and with your friends. So we're focusing where it matters: the best way to take and share scores. Live games and gathering your group for a round no matter are they your existing or new acquaintances. Interesting statistics and insights.

Why is it named Upsi?

The term 'upsi', commonly utilized in Finnish disc golf, is usually understood as the equivalent to an 'Upside Down' or in broader terms, an 'overhead throw'. This expression is likely a misinterpretation of the word upshot by early Finnish disc golf pioneers. Nevertheless, upsi manages to persist in the lexicon of Finnish disc golf enthusiasts. This in spite of the considerable advancement of the sport since the introduction of the initial disc golf course in Meilahti Helsinki in the mid-1980s - a course often still played by the Upsi developer team.
